Äkäslompolo Sportshop has operated in the village of seven fells since 1996 and current shopkeepers, Mr. Jari Ahola and Mrs. Jaana Ahola took responsibility of the shop in autumn 1999. The service at sportshop has always relied on three main categories; the shop itself, equipment hire and maintenance service. Our operations have always been about the customer and feedback from clients has a great influence in our range of products.
STAFF
Our energetic personnel are familiar with the demanding conditions of the Lappish fells and this is why we are able to suggest you the right equipment for a variety of activities. The knowledge and expertise of Sportshop staff is kept up with different types of training events either organized by a supplier or internally. The share of personnel’s own hobbies cannot be undermined, most of the products offered in sportshop have been tested by the staff themselves and quite a few are used in daily activities.
THE SHOP
Everything you need can be found under the same roof on one level in our shop, also we offer sports equipment hire and maintenance service. The shop has been designed in the spirit of Lapland without forgetting about the functionality. There is plenty of room to shop comfortably, the size of our ambient store is just under 450 square metres.
